Giovanni Domenico Cassini (1625 - 1712) has become famous because of several discoveries he did by observing the universe. He was the one that concludes the distance between the Earth and the Sun at 7% close. Cassini was for a long time the director of the observatory in Paris. He was originally Italian but became French citizen later.
Cassini is a spacious room (26m2) with its entrance at the south east side of the house. The entrance is next to the terrace and the breakfast room. A dividing wall with doorway gives it privacy.
This double room is equipped with a king size bed (160x210). There is a large sofa which can be transformed into a real 3rd bed (90x200) if needed. If not the sofa can be a really nice reading/sitting area. In the corner is a wardrobe.
In this room is a beautiful ancient fire place. Unfortunately we have found out that the chimney shaft has not been installed very safely so the fire place can not be used. It is though a nice decoration.
During winter but as well in early spring or late autumn, this room is heated with under floor heating and is very appropriate for people who feel cold easily.
The room has its own shower and wash basin and a separate toilet (both with under floor heating). On request we can put a hairdryer for you.
